Retreats and ConferencesWe welcome United Methodist Church groups from throughout our Conference and beyond, many of whom return year after year. Our camps host men's and women's groups, youth retreats, family camps, and pastoral retreats. Our sites are also open to other non-profit groups. Our team will work with you to make your retreat a success!
Summer Camp at QuinipetQuinipet has a stunning beachfront location on Shelter Island. Whether children come for one week or all eight, they will make long lasting friendships, laugh a LOT, and enjoy the beautiful natural environment of Shelter Island. Our goal is for children to feel welcome, to try new things, and to deepen their spiritual values. Quinipet has all the fun of a traditional Christian summer camp surrounded by water!
Family CampingThere's no better place to spend quality family time than at one of our camp and retreat locations. Quinipet offers Spring Into Action, a volunteer Memorial Day work weekend at no charge. See the Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center website for more information.
Kingswood Campsite offers rustic camping in your own tent or more glamorous camping in large, wood floored tents. There are also sites for RVs. Daily programs include hay rides, swimming in the refreshing lake, canoes, kayaks, and rowboats, all available for no additional fee. Fishing equipment, cooking gear, games, books and sporting equipment are available to borrow. See the Kingswood Campsite website for more information. |

NYAC Camping & Retreat Ministry Board of Directors Shares Inclusivity Statement
In light of the recent 2019 Special Session of General Conference, the NYAC Camping & Retreat Ministry Board of Directors would like to clearly state that we fully accept all persons identifying as LGBTQIA+ into the life, ministry, and activities of our camp, and of our sister campsite, Kingswood.
Whether you are staff, camper, clergy, volunteer, or visitor, we welcome you!
As with the church, we are a work in progress and going forward we are taking steps to make our camps more inclusive settings for all people.
And please know that we are always open to suggestions for improvement. Thank you for your openness, understanding, and support of our camps.
